Welcome to the SUPERGEN: HiDEF Website.

SUPERGEN Highly Distributed Energy Future (HiDEF) is an EPSRC Supergen research project being undertaken by a consortium of UK universities.

Principally, HiDEF is concerned with developing approaches, technologies and policies to provide a revolutionised electricity system for the future, in accordance with the HiDEF vision of the future.

The HiDEF project's stated aim is to design the "future power system that delivers sustainability and security through the widespread deployment of distributed energy resources and thus contributes to national and international ambition for a low carbon future."

A selection of material which will help to contextualise this work are presented on this page and may be freely accessed.
